MBAG ANNUAL DUES

There are three types of memberships: REGULAR, ASSOCIATE, and Regular-Independent. Read on to determine the appropriate category to which your company should apply.

Regular Membership $600 per year* Associate Membership $650 per year
  • Licensed Residential Lenders (Originators & Servicers) Commercial lenders should apply for Associate membership
  • Brokers
  • Bankers
  • Mortgage loan correspondents
    *loan closing fee applies upon renewal. (see note) 
  • Closing Attorneys
  • Appraisers
  • Credit service companies
  • Commercial Lenders
  • Mortgage insurance
  • Title Insurance
  • Other non-lending related companies

Regular-Independent- $400 per year*

  • Those companies who meet the criteria for Regular Membership (above) but employ 3 or fewer originators

Applicants will be notified immediately of the Board of Governors'  decision. If approved, the applicant is billed for annual dues. Dues must be received within thirty days of the billing date. Upon payment of initial dues, the new member company is added to the mailing list and publicized to the membership.

DUES SCHEDULE: MBAG OPERATES ON A FISCAL YEAR
The Association bills for annual membership dues according to its yearly calendar, which begins July 1 and ends June 30.

A NOTE ABOUT TAX DEDUCTIBILITY: THE DEDUCTIBLE PORTION OF MEMBER DUES
Federal Income Tax Law prohibits the deduction of lobbying expenses. 57% of your
Dues are used for lobbying on behalf of the industry; therefore 43% of your membership dues are tax deductible.
