MBAG ANNUAL DUES

There are two types of memberships: REGULAR and ASSOCIATE. Read on to determine which category your company should apply for.

Regular Membership $600 per year* Associate Membership $650 per year
  • Licensed Residential Lenders (Originators & Servicers) Commercial lenders should apply for Associate membership
  • Brokers
  • Bankers
  • Mortgage loan correspondents
    *loan closing fee applies upon renewal. (see note) 
  • Closing Attorneys
  • Appraisers
  • Credit service companies
  • Commercial Lenders
  • Mortgage insurance
  • Title Insurance
  • Other non-lending related companies

 Complete the membership application and submit to us along with the following:

  • $100 application fee Waived
  • Resume of company owner or senior manager for company's Georgia office
    (Regular members: Owner/ manager should possess no less than 3 years experience in first mortgage lending)

Applicants will be notified immediately of the Board of Governors'  decision. If approved, the new member company is added to the mailing list and published in the "new member" section of the next newsletter. The new member is billed for annual dues at that time. Dues must be received within thirty days of the billing date.

DUES SCHEDULE: MBAG OPERATES ON A FISCAL YEAR
The Association bills for annual membership dues according to its yearly calendar, which begins July 1 and ends June 30.

A NOTE ABOUT TAX DEDUCTIBILITY: THE DEDUCTIBLE PORTION OF MEMBER DUES
Federal Income Tax Law prohibits the deduction of lobbying expenses. 57% of your
Dues are used for lobbying on behalf of the industry; therefore 43% of your membership dues are tax deductible.
